You can use our Inspection Copy Service to review texts for 30 days before deciding whether to adopt them. Our representatives are available to discuss your requirements and recommend suitable texts for your courses. Contact details of worldwide representatives and agents (PDF 62kb).

How to Request Inspection Copies

  1. You must be a lecturer to use the service and you need a SAGE account
  2. Before you make a request you will need to register the following on your account:
    • Institution(s) and department(s) that you teach at
    • Courses that you teach
  3. Once you have done this you can use these details to request books for inspection.
  4. All of this information is stored on your account to help make future Inspection Copy Requests and you can update these details as you need.
  5. For each request that you make we need to know:
  • The course(s) that you are considering the text for
  • The number of students
  • What kind of adoption you expect the book to be e.g. essential, recommended, supplementary.

SAGE account features

  1. You can update all your details as you change address, jobs and course responsibilities
  2. Your billing, shipping and contact address details are stored on your account for future requests or transactions
  3. You can register for new product alerts and tell us how you want us to keep in touch with you about SAGE books and journals
  4. You can buy direct from SAGE

Finding books available for Inspection

  • Every book that is available on inspection is marked with this icon Inspection Copy Request on its webpage. To request an inspection copy simply click on Inspection Copy Request and follow the instructions.
  • To find books you can use the search features at the top of the screen and ‘Search by’ textbooks
  • You can also search for books to request via your SAGE Account
