Publishing your education book with SAGE

Our intention is that your experience of publishing with SAGE will be a positive and rewarding one. We have a reputation for building supportive working relationships with our authors from the initial contact through to publication of the book and for years after. Our Production Editors emphasise professionalism and attention to detail from receipt of manuscript through to publication and provide one of the most efficient services in academic publishing.

SAGE authors can expect a strong marketing strategy to benefit their books. We produce regular catalogues, leaflets and author flyers and we have the ability to represent you and your work in an international capacity thanks to strong links with our sister companies in California and New Delhi. Our sales representatives travel throughout the UK and Europe, calling at bookshops and at universities. Every book is provided with a vigorous marketing campaign to maximise its global sales potential and we are always happy to listen to suggestions from our authors.

SAGE seeks to publish the best work including textbooks and books for practitioners. We welcome new book proposals and are always interested to see proposals for:

textbooks which emphasise clarity and course relevance and have a clear pedagogic intent
books for practitioners for use by teachers, trainee teachers, teaching assistants, nursery nurses, advisory teachers and all other professionals working in the field of education

We are always happy to consider ideas for possible publications and we invite you to submit a proposal to us or to contact us for an initial discussion. Please take a moment to read through our guidelines on proposals, or to contact the relevant Commissioning Editor for your area of interest:
